The oneAPI Architecture team is seeking an experienced software architect to expand the scope of supported platforms. oneAPI is a cross-industry, open, standards-based unified programming model delivering a common developer experience across CPU and XPU architectures.

Architects, designs, and leads the development of software tools and solutions in support of various domains including manufacturing, validation, silicon production, systems integration, software products, or ecosystem enabling. Responsible for pathfinding and providing the technical direction for software development and validation. Engages with internal/external engineering partners on technical requirements/discussions and interacts with technologists across Intel, and within the industry, to evaluate feasibility of requirements and determine priorities for development. Examples of tools/systems include debuggers, analyzers, SDKs, IDEs, PDKs, tools, flows, and/or methodologies for design, development, validation, and test.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

• PhD in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• Substantial experience in high-performance computing systems (CPU, GPU, and Cluster usages)
• Demonstrated leadership in software architecture design

Preferred Qualifications:

• Expert in C/C++ programming and code optimization
• Proven experience working with the Intel GPU architectures
• Working knowledge of Fortran, CUDA, SYCL, and OpenCL
• Proven experience in software development focusing on compilers, runtimes, profilers, or performance-oriented numerical or communication libraries.
• Familiarity with Intel assembly language and intrinsic programming
