Job Description

The oneAPI Architecture team is seeking a senior software security architect to ensure world-class quality in our products. oneAPI is a cross-industry, open, standards-based unified programming model delivering a common developer experience across CPU and XPU architectures.


Responsible for secure design, development and operation of Intel's hardware and software products and services. Responsibilities may include threat assessments, design of security components, and vulnerability assessment. Ensures products conform to standards and specifications. Develops plans and cost estimates and assesses projects to analyze risks. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education, judgment and formal processes. Maintains substantial knowledge of state of the art security principles, theories, attacks and contributes to literature and conferences. May participate in development of intellectual property. Requires thorough knowledge of security practices, procedures and capabilities in order to perform nonrepetitive, analytical work.

Partner with Org Security Champion and BU Security Privacy Leaders (SPLs) and other Security Engineers in leading SDL quality execution
Collaborate with the Product Security Incident Response Team (PSIRT) and product teams to investigate and mitigate vulnerabilities
Help product teams to integrate corporate and industry-leading Security tools into the full Software lifecycle
Investigate and test new tools as well as automation approach to better fit and influence our DevOps architecture
Drive hackathons, participate in RedTeam activities
Work towards becoming a subject matter professional for guidance and support on product security and privacy requirements
Discover vulnerabilities and weaknesses in the architecture, design and the implementation of Software products.
Be Objective, independent reviewer of the product's security artifacts and risks.
Play Active role in security architecture definitions to ensure architecture thoroughness.


Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline with 5+ years of Software development experience

  • Minimum 3 years Experience in C/C++

  • DevOps and DevSecOps experience is a huge advantage

  • Good understanding of Secure Coding practices and most common weaknesses

  • Brief knowledge in one or more additional programming languages including low level assembly, Java, Python, Go, C#, etc.

  • Passion for Security - We seek to demonstrate art of the possible when developing innovative software while practicing state of the industry standard security methods.

  • Experienced with process and procedure related to Security development lifecycle (SDL) in large enterprises

  • Knowledge of Software architecture principles

  • Security testing tools and techniques, including SAST, fuzzing

  • Knowledge of security technologies: authentication, cryptography, security protocols, etc.

  • Demonstrable knowledgeable in one or more OS internals - Linux or Windows

  • SW Architecture experience - enough to Reviewing and creating security architecture of software systems and defining scope.

  • Influential - Guide Security tools and process to the product teams


Good to have

  • Familiarity with Developer Tools purpose and architecture (e.g, oneAPI, Compilers, Performance Libraries, etc)

  • Applicants should ideally possess 3 years of experience in the field of system security research and excel in exploring software and/or hardware techniques as a method of attack against targets within computing systems.

  • Security analysis and vulnerability assessment

  • Understanding of different fuzzing tools and pen-testing

  • Threat Modeling - Identify assets and malicious actors against them within architectural diagrams. Recommend mitigations within our software.

  • Network in security community, conferences, Paper publication, participation in bug bounty programs, etc.

  • Security Research and industry test tools/standards like Kali Linux, Peach, Defensics, Hydra, BurpSuite, Metasploit, OWASP

  • Exploitation and mitigation technique developments

  • Ability to create dashboards and conduct concise reports

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

  • Ability to work in an unstructured start-up like environment with minimal supervision

  • Ability to navigate around ambiguities and obstacles to independently solve complex problems

  • Skilled at communicating technical info and ideas so others will understand

  • Strong action-orientation, proactive to achieve quick high value-added results

  • Support and work with cross-functional and cross-geo teams in a dynamic environment

  • Ability to work autonomously in a less structured startup type environment with minimal supervision is a must.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$171,710.00-$274,890.00

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
