TITLE PROJECT QUALITY ENGINEER / RESIDENT

BUSINESS/ FUNCTION: QUALITY DEPARTMENT

LOCATION SHANGHAI (FMT)

REPORTING TO Business Unit Quality Manager

RESPONSIBLE FOR No functional report

ORGANISATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS Working intensively with other SISCO quality engineer

MISSION Actively follow up the NCRs with internal and external suppliers and with installation sites, project Managers and customers

Organize internal reviews with the relevant departments, be motor in the investigation, challenge other SISCO analysis for quality issues.

Driving the achievement of BU Quality KPIs achievement.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Item Activities and responsibility:

Project Quality

Monitor PVC (Projects Validation Committee) to ensure readiness and report if any deviation. Ensure all on-time deliverables and PVC tasks required output available.

NCR (Non-Conformity Report) management (including opening record and follow-up in WIM - Wabtec incident management system), Driving the FTA and PDCA action follow up

Ensure the ECR/PCR (Engineering/Process Change Request) deployment and monitor the process at FMT via group Web database (DBM)

Escalate the Hot issues to PD&G BU Quality manager (Weekly report)

Monitor FAI (First Article Inspection) process and result; leading the definition of S-FAI checklist and STS

Monitor the implementation of design review process, including joint reviews with suppliers and FMT teams.

QRQC

Contribute and Participate in the FMT QRQC, representing FFE.

Reporting Gather and report the information/data to BU Quality manager

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS

Area Description Essential Desirable

Experience 10 years, with minimum 5 years in Quality management (Design, Methods/process, Production)) E

Industrial Project environment: railway infrastructure projects or similar D

Experience in MNC working environment D

Qualifications Degree in Engineering (Mechanical) E

Degree in Quality management is highly preferable; solid experience/background in the area will also be considered E

Competencies Sound knowledge of mechanical assembly and manufacturing process: machining, welding, gluing, surface and material hardening treatment E

Quality Tools (5W2H, Ishikawa, Problem solving leadership, PDCA FTA/8D) E

Strong leadership aptitude, at ease in matrix organization (skills, lead by example) E

External and internal communication, good relationship skills E

Others Language: English, Mandarin E

Upon request: travel and stay at suppliers’ factory for review and audits E
