As a Sales Manager - Rail at Rolls Royce Power System, you will be responsible for Rail business, independently work with Rail customers/OEMs/Sales Dealers to achieve the sales contract, and clarify technical issues of Technical Agreement with customers/OEMs/Sales Dealers and coordinate service support operation in China for MTU-China

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide the monthly report on the Rail business activities to the superior; Collect market information on Rail, assist in setting and achieving sales targets together with the superior
  • Monitor & feedback to the superior the activities of the Rail customers/OEMs/Sales Dealers, the market situation of Rail, and competitors’ activities
  • Responsible for the sales in China Rail market; Attend to sales calls, enquiries and complaints & liaise with superior /MTU-China for the follow up
  • Review / clarify customers’ requirements / specifications and provide technical solutions / scope of supply for projects with standard scope, or non-standard scope
  • Coordinate / follow up with Logistics and Purchasing Dept. of MTU-China for project process; Assist in establishing Rail OEMs/Sales Dealers with superior
  • Prepare and update records of existing and potential OEMs/customers/Sales Dealers. Build up and upkeep good relationships with them by regular visits / contacts, and liaise with superior to follow up the sales projects and service support to meet the requirement of the OEMs/customers/Sales Dealers

Submit the yearly marketing report of China Rail segments as requested by Superio r.

Key Experiences and any Qualifications:

  • Degree / Diploma holder in engineering or similar, or possess equivalent qualifications
  • At least 7 years relevant working experience related to engine sales or rail industry. Have minimum 3 years in managerial or supervisory position
  • Good command of both spoken & written English and Mandarin, good at office softwares; Good knowledge of engine, awareness of relevant industries and competitors’ products
  • Demonstrated track record of success in sales; Good independent working ability; good creative thinking ability; good teamwork mentality
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work across a matrix organization
  • Good people management skills; good learning attitude; flexibility to travel (50%)
