Key Responsibilities:
Teaching and Learning:
• Engaging Lessons: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, engaging art lessons for students in Grades 6-12, following the school’s curriculum framework.
• Differentiated Instruction: Tailor your teaching to meet the varied learning needs and interests of all students.
• Diverse Media: Teach a wide range of media and techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, digital art, mixed media, and AP Art.
• Critical Thinking: Foster a classroom environment that encourages critical thinking, collaboration, and respect for diverse viewpoints.
• Assessment Strategies: Develop and implement a variety of formative and summative assessment strategies to evaluate student progress and provide meaningful feedback.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and complete records of student achievement and growth.
• Parent-Teacher Conferences: Conduct parent-teacher conferences as required.
• Learning Environment: Create a safe, organized, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment in the classroom.
• Resource Management: Manage art materials, equipment, and the budget responsibly, ensuring safe and proper use by students. Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
• Education: Master’s degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field.
• Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of successful experience teaching Art at the secondary level.
• Language: Teach in English.
• Passion for Art Education: A genuine enthusiasm for art and the ability to inspire students.
• Collaborative Spirit: A strong team player who works effectively with colleagues, students, and parents.
