position: senior designer

to cope with our rapid expansion of business, we are looking for talented professionals to join our creative design team. we are looking for a senior designer and you will have the opportunity to work on various creative projects. you must have solid experience in various scale projects, such as shopping mall, corporate and hospitality projects. you should have a great eye for design, and the ability to generate new ideas and interpretations. you also should have excellent communication and project planning skills, being highly self-directed, able to multi-task; prioritize multiple projects/initiative in a deadline-driven environment and be fluent in English and Mandarin.

responsibilities

• reports to the design director and/or managing director
• generating design solutions, awareness and response to financial and time planning for projects
• manage and follow up the whole process of projects from concept stage to completion
• liaise with clients, contractors and consultants and provides solutions to design problems, generated design plans and lead the project
• responsible for selection and specification of all interior architectural materials and finishes, furniture, lighting and artwork
• conducts programming efforts such as space planning, layout and utilization of furnishings and equipment, lighting and color coordination
• coordinates color and material palettes
• develops and managed furniture and interior fittings packages
• works closely with senior staff supporting design and technical tasks
• assist with construction document preparation
• revise drawings and renderings
• conducts research for the project team
• organized files, materials and displays

requirements

• diploma or Certificate Holder in interior design and related disciplines
• 5-8 years experience in local building construction industry and interior design projects
• solid knowledge in local regulations and procedures of building, planning and submissions
• practical experience in producing interior design details & construction drawings
• proficiency in auto-cad, 3D max, photo shop and other graphic soft wares
• effective in team playing and interpersonal skills
• diligent and passionate at work, detail oriented and organized, independent, responsible and creative
• strong presentation and communication skills
• proficient in spoken and written in Mandarin and English
• site management experience is a must
• willing to travel
• available immediately or TBC
• candidates with less experience may be considered for the position of interior designer
