Job Description
K12 International School in Pudong New Area of Shanghai is hiring for Aug。
Location: 2 km to the closest subway station of line no 2
Vacancies:
1 G7's Writing teacher,
Pay package:
Salary: 25,000-30,000 rmb/m before tax according to your qualification.
Housing: 5,000 rmb/m for housing allowance, 8,000 rmb/m for teaching couple (each kid add 1,000 rmb/m )
OR pay 20%-25%'s rent of school's residential compound
Airfare: Initial Onboard airfare reimbursement + 12,000 rmb/year 's allowance,
Year-end performance bonus: one month's salary,
Tuition: only need to pay 20%'s tuition (2 kids at most),
Class size: about 20-25 kids/class, have TA during grade 1 to 3.
Paid holidays: about 1 month for winter holiday, about 1.5 months for summer holiday, All Chinese public holidays
Requests: Prefer who have teaching license or going to have teaching license.
At least a bachelor’s degree (preferably in MS English teaching or ESL)
Native English communication skills (spoken and written)
At least two-year ELA/ESL teaching experience in a regular school setting with good class management skills
Eligible for a valid teaching license/certificate, TEFL, TESOL or CELTA certificate
Evidence of current relevant professional development especially in ELA/ESL at the MS levels
Duties:
Teach a minimum of 20 class periods per week
Collaborate with grade level teachers on ELA Unit planning
Work with Chinese Track MHS students in an ESL classroom as assigned for the school year
Work on curriculum development, which includes preparing effective diverse lesson units based on the school’s curriculum formats using the Understanding by Design (UbD)
Positively collaborate with fellow CIC staff and Chinese Track staff
Design authentic assessments and measure their effectiveness in meeting curricular goals
Promote our “Expected School-wide Learning Results” (ESLRs): global citizenship, motivated learners, healthy individuals, and persons of character
Maintain and update timely student records including grading (homework, grade books, progress reports, report cards, student attendance, and other required documents)
Be actively involved in (at least two) extra-curricular activities as a faculty sponsor/advisor/coach/helper/school committee member
