Job Description
Full-Time, Part-time, All-the-time: English Teachers Wanted in Beijing – 11,000 - 13,000/month (Weekend School: Wednesday - Sunday)

Hi! We are a private language school that holds classes mainly for primary-school students, from grades one to six. We currently have 12 full-time and several part-time foreign staff members. We are looking for teachers to teach a wide variety of classes, from kindergarten through primary school. There are both full-time and part-time opportunities available in our strong, and growing, teaching department. Our class sizes range from 5 to 16, and we hold these classes on the weekends.

We are a young company, almost 5 years old, that has grown rapidly. We are very serious about teaching students English. We imported our curriculum from the United States, and we follow it closely. Classes are four hours long and intricately planned.

Now, we have 3 branches in Haidian District in Beijing. We are trying to grow much more, and become a true force for the good of Beijing's English-learning community by helping the next generation get the best kind of start. The school is willing to pay what it can for teachers who perform well, in accordance with its guidelines and the curriculum, and achieve real results for students.

To do that, we need the right kind of teachers. That's where you may come in. When? As soon as possible. Positions are available immediately. The environment here is one focused squarely and strongly on student achievement.

A typical work week for one of our teachers is something like this. Working on the weekends is not negotiable- we all do it, as the majority of our classes occur then. We start at 8 am on Saturday and Sunday. All the full-time staff members work on Wednesday as well- the day of our weekly foreign staff meeting. Which other two office days to work are on Thursday and Friday. On office days, we work from 09:00-5:30 with an hour's lunch in the middle. This is the typical schedule.

I think I've said enough to give a basic sketch of our company. This is what we look for in a prospective new teacher. First and foremost, we want people who are passionate about education. People who truly, and deeply, care about achieving great things for their students will go far with us. I like to see:

Requirements:
1. Passion about educating China's children.
2. Teaching experience, in China or abroad.
3. Qualifications of some kind, be it an online TEFL certificate, completion of a training course in Thailand, certification in one's home country, or even just an education course or two on your university transcript. A little training goes a long way in making an effective teacher.
4. Some working and living experience in China.

All of these are negotiable, except the first. An individual with talent and motivation, who really wants the children to learn, is someone I'd be happy to provide with the training and experience necessary to convert that enthusiasm into genuine skill.

In the end, there is far too much about our company for me to explain in a brief posting. I advise you to send me your resume, with a cover letter, to be contacted for an interview.

You should send the aforementioned resumes and cover letters to Samuel Li Ming Leung (Teaching Research Director) at samshare@me.com or through 151-2005-1078 (text message only). At least one of us is generally available.
