Want a challenge like no other? One where you have team and business responsibility and accountability from the minute you start? A challenge where you are expected to grasp our processes quickly, and make a real difference to the business? The Hilton Worldwide Greater China & Mongolia Management Trainee Program is a program that runs for 24 months, where mobility is essential.
With a strong focus towards hotel operation, when you join the program you will immediately start at a supervisory level, taking on the responsibilities, accountability and challenges that go with the specific role. It’s not a slow paced role, or slow paced industry you’re entering, but we will ensure you’ll be supported throughout, enabling you to be ready for your first line management position once the program is completed.
The Greater China & Mongolia Management Trainee Program aims to develop a select group of talented, nationally mobile individuals and give them an intensive development opportunity to be running their own department within 24 months.
Position Summary:
What will I do?
The Program runs over 24 months with a structured framework of practical and highly interactive learning and development activities. These include:
· Induction to the Program, the wider business, Hilton Worldwide history, culture and current business focus
· Food and Beverage placement
· Rooms division placements
· Exposure to Business Development
· HR and Finance exposure
· One-to-one mentor with regular feedback
· Regular & structured Line Manager feedback
· Management and Leadership Development program
· Technical development modules
· Practical assignment aligned to Food and Beverage placement
· Hilton Worldwide University modules
Where will I be?
The location of your placements will depend on availability but personal preference is taken into account wherever possible.
When will I start?
If you are successful you will start the program in August 2019.
Learning & Development:
During your 24 months training you will take part in key technical and development workshops. As a Hilton Worldwide Team Member you will also have access to the Hilton Worldwide University, our on-line learning and development tool, through which you can complete e-learning courses, learn a language on-line and make use of our on-line business library.
Support all the Way:
Participants on the Greater China & Mongolia Management Trainee Program are supported throughout their time on the program with a Mentor - this is a more senior manager in an alternative property who takes on the role of your professional Mentor.
Participant Profile
We are looking for our future leaders, so you will have proven that you want to be world class. You should have completed your studies by the end of July 2019.
It is important to us that you are able to demonstrate our Hilton Worldwide competencies, and we expect you to be driven, commercially focused with key people skills. We will recruit on these competencies during our assessment centre.

You’ll be keen to learn your craft on the job, while putting relevant learning into practice, your roles and responsibilities will evolve as your confidence and capabilities grow, taking you to different departments and hotels, not to mention the fact that we are a 24hr business! This means you have to be driven and flexible.

Key Dates
All suitable candidates will be invited to meet with our Senior Team at an Assessment Centre in one of our local assessment centres in May 2019. We would aim to confirm successful appointments by June 2019, with a start date of 1 st August 2019.

- Qualifications: You must have demonstrated your true passion and enthusiasm for Hospitality.
- Education: At least a Bachelor degree.
  • Years of related experience : At least 6 months working experience in the hospitality industry, at point of application.
  • Language: Speak, read and write English fluently and preferably proficiency in a second language
  • Skills: Possess strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Add’l requirements: You must be Chinese nationality.
You need to be fully mobile across China.
