Title: Researcher/Associate Researcher/Developer position for Information Visualization
Location: Beijing, China
Microsoft Research Asia (MSRA) is looking for strong, passionate researchers and developers at different levels in the areas of visualization, visual analytics, data-driven storytelling, and human-computer interaction. You will work on exciting and challenging projects to make data and analytics more accessible to users through R&D of novel technologies, experiences, and systems for data visualization, data exploration, and data analysis.

You will work on exciting and challenging projects to make data and analytics more accessible to users through R&D of novel technologies, experiences, and systems for data visualization, data exploration, and data analysis.
Qualifications for Researchers:
- PhD degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or equivalent field
- Good research track record in related areas, with evidence through academic publications and services
- Extensive and deep research experience in, and familiarity with, the literature and the state-of-the-art research/practice in related areas
- Demonstrated ability to develop research agendas and carry out research tasks independently and/or with collaboration
- Good communication and presentation skills in written and oral English
- Good implementation skills as a strong plus
- Hands-on tech-transfer experiences and/or project management skills as a strong plus
Qualifications for Developers:
- Master or PhD degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or equivalent field
- Solid knowledge of data structure/algorithm
- Proficient web front-end implementation abilities using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and commonly used frameworks and libraries
- Familiarity with visualization knowledge, development libraries and toolkits, and/or graphic design tools as a strong plus
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Knowledges and experiences in database, data mining, and machine learning as preferred
- Familiarity with engineering process as a strong plus
- Hands-on project management skills as a strong plus
