Advisor public affairs and government relations – China

Job Description

Key Roles & Responsibility:

  • Government relations & advocacy: Influence the development of legislations and policies affecting our products individually as a company or through industry associations.
  • Industry associations : represent BRP on business and industry associations relevant to its activity (ex. China Association of Automotive Manufacturers, China Chamber of Commerce for Motorcycles, etc)
  • Map and monitor regulatory and legislative development
  • Assist BRP teams in understanding legislative changes and managing/mitigating their impact.
  • Support in the development, coordination and delivery of communication tools for internal and external stakeholders, including distributor networks, allies and governments.
  • Project Management: work on specific project/assignments related to business development in China.
    • Development of PWC playground (ensure coordination between various internal and external stakeholders such as marketing, dealers, local officials, etc)
    • Development and deployment, in cooperation with Marketing, of education campaign/materials towards end customers (responsible rider programme).

Your Qualifications & Skills:

  • University degree in law, public relations, political science or communication.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of related experience.
  • Experience with Government and administrative institutions in China (and ideally the Asian region)
  • Ability to appropriately research and process technical and complex information, public and confidential.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to build networks with key stakeholders, both externally and internally
  • Excellent multiple projects coordination capabilities, working to strict timelines.
  • Excellent analysis capabilities.
  • Excellent reporting skills.
  • Bilingual: Chinese and English.
  • Extensive-working knowledge of Microsoft software such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Team player.
