Job Description

Bangor College is an exciting new development that provides a high quality British style education to students in China. A range of undergraduate programmes are delivered in Bangor College including: BSc in Accounting and Finance, BSc in Banking and Finance, BSc in Electronic Engineering, BSc in Forestry and Environmental Management. The programmes incorporate provision for students to complete their entire degree in Bangor College or to transfer to the main university campus in Bangor, UK to complete their degree. All programmes are based on the curricula, teaching methods, academic standards and regulations of Bangor University.

The role of the Lecturer in Electronic Engineering is to:
  • Plan, prepare and deliver lectures and tutorials and respond effectively to a variety of student backgrounds, learning styles and class sizes
  • Motivate students to engage in learning and providing meaningful and constructive feedback on their work
  • Keep abreast of new professional, educational and related social, economic and technological developments
  • Supervise undergraduate projects
  • Act as personal tutor to undergraduate students
  • Aid the development of new programmes
  • Teach through the medium of English
  • Personal research, and/or collaborative research with colleagues in Bangor College
  • Contribute towards the College’s capability to attract external research funding
  • Disseminate and publish results of research in high quality peer-reviewed journals
  • Contribute to the College's management and participate in the administration of undergraduate programmes
  • Undertake other administrative duties and responsibilities as directed by the College and the Vice Dean of Teaching and Learning
