Job Description

Assistant Manager, Public Relations is expected to take a proactive, strategic and leading role in formulating PR plan with most appealing and well-crafted media angles, tactics and media selection, ranged from conventional print & broadcast media, to digital/online media and bloggers, so as to create “top of mind” preference of the properties (both City of Dreams and Altira Macau) among other market players, promote the awareness of respective offerings, sustain media/public interest in an engaging manner and ultimately enhance goodwill / brand equity of the company.

PR IMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be champion to the development of long-term and short-term PR strategies, media angles, tactical PR programs and communication policies to optimise media return & to promote awareness effectively for respective property of the company
  • Maintain effective professional relationships with key media to maximise positive publicity for City of Dreams and Altira Macau, domestically and overseas.
  • Align key messaging with MCE Corporate, respective Marketing and Business units
  • Develop and upkeep press materials and media database (including bloggers)
  • Timely respond to media enquiries, particular in handling crisis communications
  • Lobby feature write-ups and industry awards / recognitions
  • Support PR logistics e.g. media visits, FAM tours, press kits production, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience

  • Over 4 years of public relations experience, with solid track records of “best practices” in managing tactical PR projects
  • Understanding of Hospitality and / or Casino operating environment is desirable
  • Strong HK and Macau media outreach, network and relations. Regional PR experience an advantage

Education

  • Degree qualified
  • Communications, Business Studies, Marketing, Public Relations or equivalent discipline preferred

  • Good business acumen and a high level of initiative
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, highly result-oriented, able to work and manage projects independently
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and problem-solve
  • Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Excellent command of written & spoken English, Mandarin & Chinese
