JOB TITLE: IT Manager

JOB PURPOSE: To provide comprehensive IT system support and development

REPORTING TO: Regional IT Director

DIRECT REPORTS: IT Engineer and Helpdesk

Key Result Area:


  • Install, support and maintain network infrastructure according to best practice, including routers, switches, WiFi controllers and firewalls;
  • Perform network security design and integration;
  • Support for School Telephone system and all related IP telephony infrastructure;
  • Provide network and host based security, incident response, firewall and VPN management and administration;
  • Implement the necessary controls and procedures to protect information systems assets from intentional or inadvertent modification, disclosure, or destruction;
  • Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions;

- Monitor network usage, anticipate problems and suggest solutions; - Troubleshooting and problem resolution of all Production systems and services;

  • Monitoring and support of the day-to-day operations and availability of School Windows Server environments;
  • Building, installing, configuring and maintaining Windows-2008, Windows-2012, Windows-2016 servers in the Domain environment;
  • managing Exchange server / O365 Platform, anti-spam and virus protection;
  • Maintain and optimize operating systems and related software to ensure stable performance;
  • Providing support and assisting Application support in problem resolution;
  • Perform hardware/software upgrades and troubleshoot system-related problems when necessary;

- Author and revise documentation of environment and operational procedures; - Understand and diagram existing network;

  • Work closely with colleagues to meet team goals and improve processes and practices;
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties, as needed
  • Maintain and support the ERP application, CRM application, Network/Server infrastructure, MS SQL database management and Telephone system.
  • Support and assist with various PC, laptop, server and network based projects including OS upgrades, patch administration, PC virtualization, Server virtualization, software hardware upgrades, VOIP and IP
  • VPN MPLS technologies.
  • Support various group wide and regional wide hardware and software projects while providing strategic ideas involving the development and delivery of technology solutions.
  • Some of the other duties including but not limited to the planning and reviewing of the IT infrastructure disaster recovery plan, tracking IT software and hardware assets and warranties, perform auditing on IT security and policies and be responsible for solving end user problems through calls, in person and emails
  • IT staff and IT helpdesk management

Qualifications /Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree or above
  • At least 5 years working experience in IT and Management related filed

- Ability to convey a strong presence, professional image, and deal confidently with highly complex technical problems - Willing to work on both Data and Voice related technologies.

  • Providing Performance analysis and troubleshooting for Windows, network related issues.
  • Ability work independently, under minimum supervision
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work schedule
  • Ability to produce clear documentation
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Extended coverage outside of normal work hours is occasionally required.
  • Good interpersonal skill
  • Good Project management skill
  • Be a good team player
  • Advantage with Cisco, Microsoft certifications

Experience / Knowledge:

  • Experience on supporting/implementation of large complex networks.
  • Hands on experience on managing and troubleshooting complex network infrastructure in LAN/WAN environment with expertise in Routers, Switches, wireless, Firewalls, IPT Telephony from Cisco
  • Knowledge in administration of Cisco network system.
  • Security patches deployment Support for the applications.
  • Overall knowledge and understanding of Backup software
  • Hands-on experience on setting up, installing and configuring server components
  • Experience on troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining server hardware/software and virtualization system

Skills:

  • Networking skills & Troubleshooting network related issues
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Project management skills and ability to manage time and complex tasks
  • Strong technical skills in Windows Server 2008/2012, VMware, NetApp NAS, Cisco router/switch/ Firewall, VOIP system, MS SQL and MS O365 administration.
