Whittle School & Studios seeks qualified candidates to apply for the support position of Visual Arts Assistant Instructor for our campuses in Washington, DC and Shenzhen, China. The Visual Arts Assistant Instructor will work closely with the assigned Studios' Instructor to support the delivery of developmentally appropriate and applied content to students, ages pre-school to grade 12, after the traditional school day, during the school day, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The part-time Visual Arts Assistant Instructors will, in collaboration with Studios' instructors, support delivery of the local Studios' Arts' content (both on site and virtually), personalize Studios' sessions, work with students from particular age groups and developmental levels, participate in onboarding and training programs, interface with families, and support students on their learning journeys.

Studios' Arts' programming covers content that focuses on the exploration of global arts through historical study and hands-on creation using a variety of materials and methods. We call our enrichment offerings "Studios" to convey the experimental and concentrated nature of delving deeply into a topic of interest and excitement in a dedicated space. Each Studio will culminate in a project-based portfolio project that students will digitally archive. Our advisors will ensure that students are exploring their full potential through a learning trajectory curated specifically for them.
