Role Summary: The purpose of the job is the development and management of all engineering activities to deliver quality designs of Offshore Wind Turbine Towers and verify the suitability of the Offshore Wind turbine structures into the site specific conditions of the offshore wind farm.
Essential Responsibilities: - Elaborate tower and foundation design proposals.

• Support the commercial team in the review of customers technical requirements and develop an engineering strategy to fulfil them, including engineering site specific plannings and conceptual design strategy.
• When required, interface with external partners involved in the wind farm projects: customers, certification body, foundations subcontractors.
• Internal execution of the engineering tasks required for site suitability and supporting GE proposal (load site specific assessment, site specific offshore foundation, all related to site specific data like wind, wave, metocean and Geotechnics)
• Planning and monitoring of GE activities on the above for on time delivery of GE scope of work.
• Interface coordination of activities at project level to support Project Certification, for primary and secondary steel when needed.
• Development of comprehensive network-strategy between R&D and manufacturing, transport, installation, wind farm engineering, and sales.
• Proactive in constantly improving the processes in order to allow GE to be excellent in tendering and execution phase in terms of reliable and cost optimized solution and time to market.

Qualifications/Requirements: - Engineering degree / university Degree: Offshore, Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineering. Project Management.

• Relevant experience in offshore project engineering, at least 7 years.
• Knowledge on Offshore wind standards for loads assessments and structural design: IECRE / DNV-ST-0126 / DNV-ST-0437 and local regulations.
• Experience in offshore structural design, geotechnics, transport and installation offshore.
• Experience in project management.
• Knowledge in large structures dynamics, fatigue and extreme load cases, specifically for the offshore wind business.
• General knowledge of manufacturing and construction processes.
• Fluent in English.
• High level of team working, communication skills and project management.
