Qualifications
- 4-8 years of highly relevant experience in the Oil & Gas or Metals & Mining or Electric Power/Natural Gas or Chemicals and Agriculture industries
- Preferably 1-3 years in a leadership role within the business
- Solid functional knowledge, including but not limited to strategy, business development, manufacturing, supply chain, product development, project management, marketing and sales, etc.
- Strong quantitative, analytical and conceptual problem-solving skills combined with outstanding business acumen
- Proven ability to lead teams, motivate others, communicate complex ideas clearly, gain the respect of clients and colleagues, and work collaboratively
- Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier university with consistent outstanding academic record; Advanced degree or MBA is preferred
- Fluency in English and Mandarin is a must
Who You'll Work With
You will join one of our offices in Greater China as part of our Global Energy & Materials (GEM) group. This group works across practices within the Oil & Gas, Metals & Mining, Electric Power/Natural Gas and Chemicals & Agriculture industries.What You'll Do
You will be responsible for developing, defining and implementing strategies to help our clients around the world solve their most critical problems.
You will work as a client-facing consultant, a consultant to other client teams, and as a forward-thinking knowledge builder across the GEM industries. Our projects cover a wide range of topics, from strategy to operations. In a typical project, you will own a work stream to deliver the end recommendation with help from the McKinsey leadership.
Working closely with clients on-site, you'll perform analysis of the particular problems as defined for your work stream – identifying and prioritizing issues for further analysis, and synthesizing the insights from the analyses. You'll also develop recommendations based on the synthesis, and create plans to implement the recommendation.
