Responsibilities:

  • Coordination and follow up of several translation projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication across teams capable to solve conflicts.
  • Creation and implementation of workflows to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Effectively communicate highly technical information and concepts.
  • Strong inter-cultural understanding to work with an international team with exposure to a range of different projects.
  • Creation of reports to study efficiency and results.
  • Capable of working independently, responsible, organized, and pro-active.
  • Down to earth personality capable to adapt and help on very different tasks when needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in translation, language studies, marketing management, or another similar field.
  • Professional proficiency in English.
  • Professional proficiency in Chinese.
  • 2+ years of experience at a top translation agency, international tech. company, or major technical publication.
  • Excellent communicator, precise and clear.
  • Calm headed and able to work in high pressure situations with diplomatic qualities and mediation skills.
  • Strong understanding of editing techniques and experience adhering to corporate style guides.
  • Excellent attention to detail and proficiency on coordination and analysis software (excel, management related software)
  • Experience with CAT tools and in-depths knowledge of professional translation requirements and needs.

Preferred:

  • Interested and knowledgeable in technology and the hi-tech industry.
  • Fast learner on process and new software.
  • Previous experience in tech companies and other related industries is preferred.
