Working time: The TEACHER is generally expected to be at the School from Monday through Friday, five working days a week. The school day is normally 8 hours, including student supervision. The average teaching load includes twenty-five periods of classroom instruction a week. The TEACHER is expected to be at the School to participate in the professional development and/or work days scheduled prior to the first and after the final classroom instructional days, as specified in the School’s calendar.
Teachers will occasionally be required to work one day on a weekend for make-up classes, professional development or school promotion. These days will be posted in the calendar and if subject to change, two weeks’ notice will be given.
During employment with the SCHOOL AUTHORITY, the TEACHER shall, in all respects, conform to and comply with the directions and policies of the School. He/she shall perform each of the duties assigned by the SCHOOL AUTHORITY to the best of his/her skill, attention, energy and ability; and shall faithfully and diligently serve the SCHOOL AUTHORITY and promote its interests and reputation.
