1. Medical Input to Business Decision-Making

i. Provide medical inputs in new product planning and product strategic planning

ii. Sustain Medical expertise for the defined therapeutic areas, by self-studying and internal/external academic training

iii. Provide timely medical input in product crisis management

2. Medical Input in product commercial Activit

i. Provide medical input to product team in product positioning and differentiation

ii. Develop publication plan and clinical research proposal for the defined therapeutic areas

iii. Prepare the product materials align with the medical strategy.

iv. Review and approval promotional materials and promotional activities

v. Provide medical inputs in developing training program on disease knowledge in the defined therapeutic areas to sales training group

vi. Participating National Sales Conferences (POAs) and helping resolve medical issues on products and therapeutic areas

3. KOL Management

i. Set up and update KOL database for the defined therapeutic areas

ii. Regular communication with KOLs to share most updated medical information in the defined therapeutic areas

iii. Facilitate KOL in publishing articles in top national or international academic journals and national conference in the defined therapeutic areas

4. Medical Input in Drug Registration Activities/business development activities

i. Provide medical input in feasibility studies for global or local trials

ii. Join protocol synopsis and study report discussion/finalization meeting, to get the first-hand information about local new product clinical development

iii. Provide medical suggestions of the new product introduction into BESINS China.

iv. Plan, propose and manage clinical research projects according to company’s product registration plan, and ensure timely completion and control the study cost to meet the financial requirements;

v. CROs management

5. Post marketing study programs

• i.Analyze the data gap of the product and initiate the phase 4 study to fill the data gap and support product medical strategy or develop the new medical strategy for the product.
• ii. Evaluate proposed research concept and/or protocols from Health Care Personnel for Investigator Sponsored Research (ISR), for medical/scientific merit and appropriate design;
• iii.Medical managing and monitoring through the whole process of study.

6. Cooperation with local medical association or CDC

i. Provide necessary input from product and therapeutic perspective, to assist collaboration programs with local Medical associations, CDC, and other academic or government agencies

ii. Assist dedicated Medical Advisor in review and approval of Investigator Initiated Research applications

7. Lecture delivery and product training

i. Regular lecture, to share most updated clinical trial data, interpreter treatment guideline and provide summary of product efficacy and safety profile.

ii. Product training to internal and external customers, including LT, sales and KOLs.

8. Medical Information

i. Provide medical input in setting up medical query responding systems

ii. Liaise between business team and medical affairs team, to ensure timely delivery of medical information

iii. Provide timely responses to both internal and external customers’ queries on the information of BESINS’ in-market and pre-launched products and relating therapeutic areas

iv. Provide medical input to Safety Officer in handling BESINS’s product safety information

v. Proactively provide the latest medical information to internal and external customers on regular basis.

9. Other tasks assigned by the supervisor

Requirements for Job (education or experience required to be able to perform this job)

• Medical Background, Master Degree in the defined therapeutic area is preferred
• At least 2 years’ clinical practice or medical affairs experience in other multinational pharmaceutical companies
• Good medical knowledge for the defined therapeutic area
• Good understanding about pharmaceutical business
