Job Description

Position Summary:
The RSO is primarily responsible for the overall radiation compliance to China regulations and corporate radiation policy.

Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities:

• Register and maintain radiation safety license for operation.
• Develop radiation safety manual and SOP according to local regulations and corporate requirement.
• Conduct and document radiation dose test, establish process of dose action level.
• Apply for radioactive source exemption per business requirement.
• Set up radiation area monitoring process and audit compliance.
• Set up radioactive contamination monitoring process and audit compliance.
• Ensure employee safety and regulatory compliance with the storage, handling and loading of radioactive source.
• Manage the distribution of radioactive source and equipment to general and specific radioactive licenses and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct retired radioactive source and waste disposal according to regulation requirement.
• Create radiation emergency response plan and coordinate response activities when radioactive exposed or incident occurred.
• Implement radiation safety training to staff.

Other Job Requirements: Occasional travel is required

Educational Qualifications:

• Engineering background with bachelor or master degree, major in radiation protection or nuclear safety is preferred.

Experience Qualifications:

• 5 years above experiences in radiation safety and protection management;
• Prior position as a radioactive safety officer
• Planning and conducting evaluations, surveys, and measurements for Curie quantities of gamma emitting radioactive material
• Strong inter-personal skills;
• Good oral and written communication skill in English, be able to work in a multicultural environment;
• Ability to achieve goals independently within a challenging time frame.
