EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

Our team wants to change the way enterprise software is built. The product management role will be driving special pilot and incubation projects with a focus on validating new enterprise product and technology approaches and the goal to actively help shaping SAP's future Cloud ERP product.

As an infrastructure developer, you will work on a specific project critical to SAP S/4's needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward.

Overall duties include, but are not limited to:

• Design, develop and deploy API driven infrastructure services powered by Kubernetes.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructures, monitoring and deployment tooling.
• Contribute to different well-known upstream open source projects and help maintain our own open source initiatives.
• Provide technical support to application teams for tools and environment. Sometimes need to go detailed into application teams' code to figure out root cause.
• Take responsibility for your applications from development to production, including participation in development, operations and incident response

WORK EXPERIENCE

• BS degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience as an infrastructure or devops engineer building highly scalable and reliable infrastructure used by dozens of teams.
• Demonstrated professional experience with at least one major cloud platform provider.
• Strong sense for quality assurance and experience designing and implementing functional tests as part of the development process.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of CI/CD processes and tools (Jenkins, Spinnaker, etc.)
• Familiar with one of the Go/Java/JavaScript/Python programming language.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on project experience in data stores like etcd, Kafka, RDS, etc.
• Experience developing in an agile team using Git, GitHub or GitLab.
• Familiarity with containerized applications and container orchestration.
• Familiarity with Linux
• Open minded for learning new technology
