About Tax
Deloitte China Tax and Business Advisory is the only Big Four practice that works As One across Greater China Region including the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan with nearly 2,500 tax people to advise and assist clients concerning tax and business issues. It is also a Tier One tax practice in Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan (International Tax Review’s World Tax 2014).

Job Description & Responsibilities
This session include the main purpose of the job, key background information and detailed synopsis of the role (use bullet points where appropriate) Work you'll do:
  • Demonstrates and applies knowledge of current tax legislation, proposed/pending legislation, their implications, and understands interaction across the Global Tax and Legal function, specifically with their area of expertise
  • Demonstrates subject matter specialty and ability to share knowledge in one or more service lines within the Global Tax and Legal function
  • Uses appropriate research techniques and analytical skills to enable fact-based decision making
  • Uses common technology tools to improve work efficiency, effectiveness, and client service
  • Demonstrates knowledge of effective inbound and outbound investments, and group restructuring.
  • Ability to review and comment on (from a tax perspective) merger and acquisition related documentation and draft client communications/reports, upholding a quality standard for accuracy and completeness
  • Ability to model the tax implications of a proposed transaction, and analyze and link data analysis and knowledge to provide quality advice for strategic decision-making
  • Ability to leverage and apply knowledge of deal structuring considerations, practices, and tax implications to diverse client situations

  • Open to Degree holders in all majors with preference given to Accounting, Economics, Finance, Law or related disciplines
  • Must hold at least one recognized professional qualification
  • Between 5 - 10 years of professional/corporate or combined tax experiences
  • Self-motivated, mature, a strong sense of responsibility with positive working attitude and able to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Have strong business acumen and stay current with economic and regulatory development
  • Good team player with strong interpersonal skills and excellent organizational skills; self-initiated and result-oriented
  • Good understanding of tax treaties and their application is highly desirable
  • Good command of both written and spoken English
  • Strong in interpreting and analyzing financial statements and a general aptitude for quantitative analysis
