Job Description

Straub Collaborative is offering an exciting career opportunity for motivated sales professionals. Business Development is responsible for growing the client base in our Hong Kong studio, including identifying, pursuing, qualifying and securing new clients that align with Straub Collaborative’s creative service offerings and capabilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generate and maintain an active pipeline of qualified opportunities at various stages in the sales process.
  • Build trust with prospective clients and communicate regularly regarding studio capabilities and client opportunities.
  • Arrange and facilitate meetings with targeted prospective clients, identifying adequate services and/or offerings to meet prospective clients’ needs, then delivering solutions-oriented capabilities presentations.
  • Execute all new business related tasks including prospecting, pitches, RFP response and tracking/reporting. Develop compelling, solutions-oriented client facing materials including presentations, response to RFPs and proposals.
  • Negotiate fair, profitable proposals and contracts with prospective clients.
  • Aid in the onboarding of new clients into the studio, and effectively transition the client relationship to the account management team.
  • Work closely with the relationship team and project managers to conceptualize and execute creative tests.
  • Actively pursue and attend relevant industry events to promote our brand and network with potential clientele.
  • Participate in weekly production meetings with the executive and internal teams
  • Update marketing tools (website, social channels, etc) by adding fresh content and updating information as needed.

  • Excellent prospecting skills with the ability to think strategically synthesize complex data and develop innovative solutions.
  • Ability to set priorities while balancing multiple projects at one time.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across multiple organization functions and levels.
  • The ability to quickly qualify a client’s needs, offer them effective solutions, influence both decisions and outcomes cross-functionally, and maintain stronginternaland client relationships.
  • Participate in our strategic growth planning as requested, to represent the client/industry perspective. Input could include marketing development, product development, studio location assessment, etc. 
  • Experience utilizing a CRM database, WebEx, Skype is desired.
  • Experience using MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).  Experience using MAC operating systems is desired.
  • Understanding of the e-commerce content creation marketplace is desired.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Travel requirements may be up to 15% of time. A valid passport with the ability to travel outside of your country of residence is necessary.
  • Attend relevant industry events to promote our brand.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in advertising, marketing, business, sales or related field. 
  • Proven experience in sales or a client service capacity, including but not limited to RFP execution, pitch-team participation, lead generation and pipeline management. Candidates that can demonstrate a track record of closing sales and/or growing existing clients will be given preferential treatment.
  • Content production, photo studio or creative agency experience is desired. Some client-side experience is a plus. 
  • Apparel and footwear marketing, procurement or sales experience a bonus
  • Active on professional networking websites: LinkedIn and other Asian Pacific professional networking websites
  • Knowledge of photography and merchandising is desired.
