Job Description

As part of the Parts Quality Department, you have the opportunity to be part of a team responsible for ensuring that parts delivered from the supply base is continuously achieving the correct specifications. This also includes the responsibility for supplier industrialization & steering activities to successfully introduce products and processes for next vehicle launches.  In the event that components do not meet the required specification, the parts quality specialists are capable of controlling the situation through robust and specific check and containment processes.

The parts quality front and back desk, liaise with the supplier during the problem resolution process to ensure the long term preventive measures are implemented. The expertise through the teams, enables us to uphold, and further enhance, the high quality associated with the BMW brand - working alongside internal global teams and external partners.


What awaits you?

• Develop, recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actions for vehicle projects.
• Creating material for project management to utilise in resolving quality based topics.
• Review the implementation and efficiency of quality and inspection systems.
• Progression of supplier data in support of Audit preparation.

• Managing departmental quality KPIs, including liaison with process partners to deliver accurate results.
• Driving individual projects throughout the placement - this includes developing robust processes to improve daily activities such as claiming monies through supplier charges and being part of the change management programme.

• Running regular team and production related meetings.


 

• Studying towards a relevant Engineering or Business Degree and on track to achieve a 2:1 standard or higher.
• Experienced Microsoft Office user including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Ability to negotiate with process partners internally and agree problem ownership.
• Confident communication, to all levels within the business.

• Strong analytical skills

• Ability to make and enforce decisions.
