Introduction of Suizhou No.2 Senior High School:
Suizhou No.2 Senior High School directly under the Education Bureau of Suizhou City. Suizhou No. 2 Senior High School was founded in 1981, which has become a municipal key high school, a municipal demonstration high school and a Provincial Civilized Organization. In 2006, with the approval of the Education Bureau and the Municipal Editorial Committee, the school added “Suizhou Foreign Language Senior High School". It was moved to the present site in 1986 and expanded to cover an area of 77788.8 square meters after two requisitions at the end of last century.


Introduction of Suizhou City:
Suizhou belongs to central China's Hubei Province, located in the area between Yangtze River and Huaihe River. It’s only 1 hour high-speed train distance to Wuhan. This southern city owns a warm and wet climate. The rich farmland gives us big harvests year after year. The abundant fresh water resources lead a prosperous fishing industry.

The population of Suizhou is almost 3 million. It’s not a big city comparing with big cities like Beijing, Shanghai or Wuhan, but it has long and rich history. Suizhou is widely acknowledged as the birthplace of Yandi, also known as Emperor Yan. He is celebrated to introduce major agricultural innovations to the Chinese people of ancient times. So Yandi is respectfully called as Shennong or the Divine Farmer by his descendants. Every year many Chinese from all over the world come to the cave in Suizhou to commemorate the legendary Chinese forebears.

Another famous cultural relic in Suizhou is Bianzhong or the Chime bells. Bianzhong were unearthed from the tomb of Marquis Yi of Zeng State and consist of 65 bronze bells. The set of Bianzhong which is said to be the heaviest musical instruments in the world dates back to the Warring States Period and was acclaimed as one of the great discoveries in world musical history.
