Job Description
The European Union Education Foundation (CHEER) together with the World Leading Schools Association (WLSA) is currently looking for an AP European History teacher for public high school international program in Beijing, commencing on late August 2017.
The CHEER Foundation/WLSA Foundation, with its headquarters in Amsterdam and two subsidiaries in Shanghai and Beijing, is a non-profit organization, whose mission is to promote education exchange and cooperation between China and Europe, as well as the rest of the world.

WLSA was established in 2011 at the 5th World Leading Schools Forum held in New York (USA) in order to bridge cultural differences, promote further understanding among secondary schools, and improve collaboration between leading schools and institutions of higher education around the world.
Cheer Foundation, as the funder member of WLSA, in conjunction with Beijing No.101 Middle School and No.8 high school, has developed a three-year international diploma programs for students wishing to pursue higher education abroad. Beijing No.101 Middle School and Beijing No.8 are both the key schools in Beijing.
Cheer Foundation has offices in the Netherlands, Beijing and Shanghai, which are supporting WLSA’s development in these formative years.
Job Description:
Teaching AP History to Chinese students
Assigning appropriate homework and correcting homework on time.
Developing and using suitable supplementary materials as necessary.
Using audio/video materials in classes as necessary.
Supervising students and monitoring student's learning progress.
Adjusting and differentiating instruction to meet the learning needs of students.
Preparing and marking examinations.
Participating in related teaching activities organized by CHEER and WLSA.
Duration:
Full-Time, with full-time employment
Requirements:
Native speaker
Minimum two-years experience teaching AP History to high school students
Bachelor’s degree
TESOL, CELTA, or TEFL certificate with practicum or teaching license / certifications
Dedication to student; Centered learning and growth; Enthusiasm and interest in developing as a teacher
Ability to work well on a team with others
Ability to differentiate implementation of curriculum
