Job Description

VMware is looking for an AV Technical Operations Lead to join its Colleague Experience & Technology organization at our Bangalore campus. In addition to becoming a member of a diverse IT support Organization, in this role you will be responsible for developing and enhancing tools, services, and processes within the Global AV Services team.

What is primary need, technical challenge, and/or problem you will be responsible for?

The primary need for this role is to provide day to day product organization and operational oversight of our products, tools, and processes.

What are the performance goals over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

You will be responsible for driving the successful completion and integration of our NextGen conference room application and global implementation of operational systems & procedures. You will also enjoy assisting in the management of various product launches & go live events, and developing strategic internal and external business partnerships.

What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

  • Work with Product Managers, Operations Managers, and Engineers to define and prioritize new product features and operations initiatives to improve processes and performance

  • Strategize and plan for the upcoming projects and required tasks for go-to-market and pilot programs

  • Enable tools, systems and processes to manage our Global AV Estate

  • Proactively collaborate, build operational strategies and establish operational cadences to identify program needs and bottlenecks with right level of communications to leadership

  • Perform implementation reviews, advocate new product features, and ensure the prompt and proper resolution of technical challenges

  • Improve product feature offerings by implementing operational feedback to internal cross-functional teams including Product Management, Operations Management, and Engineering.

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA preferred
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Possess excellent written and verbal social skills
  • 3-4 years of experience in a technical facing operations role
  • BA/BS degree in a technical area / equivalent practical experience
  • Experience in data set analysis, identifying patterns, gaps and right instrumentation to solve business problems
  • Ability to be proactive, anticipate and provide alternatives and options to the business.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive major initiatives and influence decision-makers at all levels.
  • Strong business acumen
  • Ability to engage in technical discussions with engineering and operational teams and making technology-related product decisions • Demonstrated track record of developing effective relationships across all levels of the organization and with diverse client groups.
  • Exceptional critical thinking & analytical skills and the ability to make informed & fast decisions related to technology solution design and direction. Demonstrated experience of 'owning' the decision/solution
