Account manager – Digital Eyewear Startup

BCG Digital Ventures is building a digital eyewear startup in Shanghai with one of the world’s leading technology companies in the optics space. We will be the first to provide a digitally connected end-to-end vision care solution that is tailored to the lives of modern-day professionals. Leveraging advanced technologies in Artificial Intelligence, Augmented Reality, and Mobile Software Development, our product will enable everyday professionals to reliably and easily track the health of their eyes and obtain spectacles that best match their needs and personality. 

As we continue to grow, we are seeking for an account manager who will execute our B2B account development strategy, build strong relationships to our direct customers and ensure the business grows.

What you will do

As the account manager of the venture, you will:

Account Development and Management

  • Translate the B2B account development strategy into a short/medium term sales plan for the region
  • Pitch to convert leads into a converted customer account 
  • Deliver quarterly and yearly sales targets
  • Manage existing accounts to drive sales success and generate sales for new accounts 
  • Submit quotations, contracts & negotiate and close of sales contract

Sales tool and materials

  • Provide input, market expertise and support to product teams in designing product and services
  • Gather feedback from accounts and business development channel partners as responsible person for managing sales tools and iterating on marketing materials (including product brochures and websites)

Desired Background

  • A minimum of 3-year experience gained in B2B sales management, business development, technical account management, or other similar positions
  • Experience in employee welfare related offerings. (e.g. business insurance, health check, etc.)
  • Exceptional communication skills and proven ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external clients
  • A proven track record of personal success and ambitious undertakings
  • An open and approachable personal manner, and an innovative and creative working attitude
  • A proactive team-player, passionate about cooperation, influence, and is driven by successes
  • Strong entrepreneurial and business acumen
  • Mix of startup and large corporate preferred
