Are you an experienced and confident assistant who has worked in a large global organization looking to join an extremely busy and vibrant team in Global Supply Chain & Strategy (GSC&S) at AstraZeneca?

Reporting to the Regional Supply Director for the US you will be a key member of the GSC&S admin team using your excellent organisational skills to enable our senior leaders to deliver world leading medicines to our patients. 

The Personal Assistant is pro-active and collaborative, working together with the other administrators in the function and possibly also more broadly within GSC&S.

Accountabilities:

• Provides administrative services to the senior team, coordinating complex meetings, diary arrangements and travel in line with AZ policy

• Independently and pro-actively resolve issues and challenges relating to administrative requests

• Work collaboratively with global colleagues to deliver a lean, consistent and professional global administration service

• Follows best practices, develops new best practices, and creatively completes administrative tasks

• Is an expert in using technology to efficiently complete administrative tasks and proposes technology based solutions

• Participate in and contribute to administrative continuous improvement activities

• Participate in and contribute to knowledge sharing within the organization

• Provide guidance/coaching and mentoring to colleagues where required

• Lead the practical arrangements and contribute to the preparations of meetings

• Controls small projects under general guidance ensuring delivery of project outputs according to plan, reviewing and refining plans as necessary

• Independently and pro-actively resolve issues and challenges, ensuring delivery of day-to-day administrative activities and programs

Essential requirement for the role:

• Significant administrative, secretarial or related experience

• Good communication and coordination skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks/assignments simultaneously and effectively

• Demonstrated skills and ability in PC applications

• Experience working in a fast-paced global environment

• Experience with a variety of virtual meeting technologies, information management software, and Microsoft products

• Strong customer service skills

• Independent follow-up on action items from meetings

Desirable experience for the role:

• Experience of working in a pharma or healthcare environment

• Experience managing SPOL/Box sites including creating and managing permission groups, creating new sites, and adding design elements
