#### Position Description:


ThinkPad SWPA team is leading all of ThinkPad SW test tem across the countries
by,
\- Creating new test method and test cases
\- Managing project testing progress and issues with Dev, TPM, PAPM team
\- Keep involved technical lecture guide to other SWPA team

And also required to understand and follow development process. There are many
activities,
\- EPR and NUDD
\- Test strategy define
\- Test progress tracking
\- Defect tracking and risk assessment for closure / limitation
\- PCR tracking
\- Phase entry / exit review
\- Test plan / report creation and review
\- Interlock meeting with ODM, ETH test team
\- Technical supports for all inquiries come from ODM, ETH, Dev, PE etc.

#### Position Requirements:


Common for all technical area
\- Test case development and maintenance
 Need to continuously learn new technology and understand NUDD for new test
cases development.
 SWPA maintains more than 1000 test cases and the member need to own them by
technical area assigned. Maintenance activity happens daily bases and also we
receive test case update request by ODM, ETH and also need to update them by
LL action after deep investigation
\- Test execution management for ETH / ODM SW test team
 New products test management shall follow Lenovo development process. Each
member will initiate test strategy meeting (FVT, SIT) and make a test plan
 Track test status with ODM, ETH test team, also interlock PA Project, Dev
team timely matter. Monitor cross product issues and keep sharing the status
with other team in ETH, ODM, also in China PA
 PCR test assessment and test activity management. It requires interlock with
TPM team
\- Technical support for ETH / ODM SW test team
 Support technical inquiries given by ODM, ETH test team to make test
activity smooth, especially for test case content and problem root cause
identification or severity definition
 Coaching to new test team in ETH, ODM is required to leverage the test
qualify among all SWPA team

Unique for each technical area
\- Preload test
 Need to host weekly interlock with SPM in Morrisville, China for preload
dev, test schedule
 GM preload sign off is critical item and its schedule have to be managed
well
 Admin work for preload (MOPS) server
\- Application test
 Key contact in SWPA for Lenovo developed application (e.g. Tangram)
 Need to keep learning about 3rd party application and understand the tread
in the market
\- BIOS and basic function test
 Need knowledge of recent key feature of PC, such as UEFI, TPM security,
Power management and so on.
 AOAC feature qualification should be focused by this test area. Automated
test need to be developed as its qualification is done while in modern standby
(LCD off)
\- UX test
 Should have keen sense for customer usage, feeling and also trend in the
market, then should feedback them to UX test cases
 Comparison test is another key item of UX test, member is required to have
product knowledge and interest against competitor’s products as well
\- Test tool, test management system development
 SWPA keep invest and develop test tools, such as test management tool which
mandatory required for our test development and activity, or automation tool
design and development

\- Development teams (EE/ME/SW engineers, contractors, Mfg, Procurement, SPM)
\- ODM and LCFC team member (PA and Dev)
\- PA colleagues and contractors (PA project, HWPA, SWPA)

\- Management in ThinkPad Development
\- China PA team (DT, LNB, TNB)
\- China accessory Dev/PA team
\- Preload Dev team (Morrisville, China)
