Job summary:
Risk’s Advisory Professionals are responsible for delivering high quality IT risk advisory and risk assurance engagements for top tier clients globally. Within ITRA practice, the ERP Risk Specialist participates in ERP related assignments and supervises multiple client engagement teams and other related activities. Engagements focus on the assessment and/or evaluation of ERP systems and the mitigation of IT-related business risks. Engagements may be either assurance (attestation) and/or risk advisory in nature, and vary considerably in size and complexity. All of our ITRA services, whether assurance or advisory in nature, help our clients to strengthen internal controls and security, in so doing, help to improve IT and business performance.
 
This professional serves as a fieldwork leader to assist clients in employing proper information systems, resources, and controls to maximize efficiencies and minimize risk. The successful candidate will work with client personnel to analyze, evaluate, and enhance information systems facilitating the business internal control process, and will assist clients and other TSRS professionals in performing information technology control and security engagements.
 
We seek individuals who can assist in the planning, pursuing, delivering and managing large, complex full lifecycle initiatives along with providing expertise in leading practices, methods, and resources in the space of Information Technology.  You will primarily focus on the risk advisory and assurance assignments relating to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) packages like SAP, Oracle, JDE, Peoplesoft, Ufida, Hyperion and others. Our team typically works with large clients across a variety of industries including Insurance, Banking and Capital Markets, Manufacturing, Pharma, Energy/Utilities, Transportation, Telecommunications and Entertainment/Media.
 
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with other members of the engagement team to plan the engagement and develop work program timelines, risk assessments, and other planning documents. Provide guidance and expertise to team members and participate in performing procedures especially focusing on complex, judgmental and/or specialized issues with regards to ERP systems. Review work performed by the ITRA team and maintain relationships with client executive management to manage expectations of service including work products, timing, and the value to be delivered;
  • Demonstrate and apply a thorough understanding of complex ERP systems. Use knowledge of the current IT environment and industry IT trends to identify the engagement and client service issues, and communicate this information to the engagement team and client management through written correspondence and verbal presentations;
  • Demonstrate and apply strong project management skills, inspire teamwork and responsibility with engagement team members, and use current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness of deliverables and services;
  • Understand EY and its service lines and actively assess what the firm can deliver to bring value to clients. Achieve revenue growth from selling new products/services to clients
  • Provide broad functional knowledge of key ERP business modules.
  • Team with client technology professionals, and/or third party strategic alliances.
  • Develop long-term relationships and networks both internally and externally.
  • Work with a team of technology professionals through all phases of the technology lifecycle, including requirements definition, architecture design, conversion and testing.
  • Interact and communicate effectively with finance and technology middle management executives.
Qualification
 
Senior/Staff
  • ERP (FI, CO, SD, MM) who are experienced at AC&S and SOD control design, with ERP implementation experience preferred. ERM (enterprise risk management) such as GRC, Archor and Huidian.
  • Financial related ERP systems features and functionality, such as general ledger, accounts payables, accounts receivables, purchasing, inventory, sales, projects and fixed assets
  • Industry-specific solutions provided by ERP vendors
  • ERP data services including database technology and data warehousing features and functionality
  • Business intelligence product features/functionality and reporting solutions
  • Financial accounting and reporting systems operations and technology
  • Budgeting, planning and forecasting operations and technology
  • Performance management and measurement (Key Performance Indicators (KPI), business driver-based metrics)
  • Bachelor degree holder with minimum of  3-5 years of relevant experience with reputable international accounting or consulting firms for Seniors;
  • Approximately 2-3 years of experience working and outstanding technical/working knowledge of ERP applications in business operations, corporate finance or IT for at least one major ERP package (SAP, Oracle, Peoplesoft, Ufida), PP/MM/CO modules , SAP GRC implementation experiences will be a plus.
  • Strong understanding of business processes, risks and application controls
  • Prior implementation consulting, risk advisory or auditing industry experience preferred
  • Ability and comfort level researching client inquiries and emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices, and new technologies
  • Knowledge of leading practices, benchmarking, peer company environments and prior advisory experience relevant to industry-specific finance and technology functions
  • Project management skills, experience in leading an ERP implementation preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills
  • Leadership, teamwork and client service skills
  • Demonstrated integrity within a professional environment 
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills;
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English and Japanese and Chinese (Mandarin).
 Knowledge and Certificate Requirements:
  • CPA, CA, CISA, CISSP, CISM, CBCP, CIA, CFE or other application-specific certification is desired; non-certified hires are required to become certified to be eligible for promotion to Manager.
