Job Description:

This opening is for an experienced semiconductor memory test Applications Engineer to provide semiconductor memory test solutions and technical leadership in support of a leading-edge semiconductor customer. This position is based in San Jose, CA. The duties include working closely with internal peers as well as customer engineers to support developing test solutions of memory test solutions such as non-volatile memory chip testing and/or storage system level test solutions and driving consensus on technical directions/test methodologies. Success in this role entails test program development and debug, ATE (Auto Test Equipment) to test semiconductor devices system programming guidance, and providing application guidance to customer and peer engineers. To have a high impact on Advantest's success, the candidate must be capable of setting and adjusting task priorities based on rapidly changing customer needs, defining task closure strategies, guiding customer engineers on best practices, and executing in a team environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide memory test solutions such as non-volatile memory chip testing and/or storage system level test to customer within acceptable quality, cost and delivery time and solve the testing challenges and problems.
• Promote new solution, run benchmarks on Advantest test systems such as T5000 series.
• Provide technical feedback to help H/W, F/W and S/W R&D to develop new solution and assist in evaluation.
• Integrates Advantest products and services (at the system/solutions level) into customer's environment
• Co-work w/ worldwide test engineering team, R&D, sales, marketing and manufacturing teams.
• Candidate becomes part of customer's business process and needs to be able to have some influence on the customer's decision-making process.
• Delivery of customer trainings and technical workshops
• Collect, evaluate and provide customer requirements for consideration in product improvements and new product developments
