Position Summary:

Application Engineer plays an important role in training/educating users on technical products and assisting in the sales process with technical consulting. S/he is responsible for analyzing a prospect’s business and technical requirements and developing solutions that meet those needs. The application Engineer works in partnership with sales, marketing and the product management team.

 

Responsibilities:

Performs professional services, working closely with accounts to develop a success plan.

Performs software product training activities, project assessments, reviews and audits.  

Supports sales, marketing and Channel Partner teams with benefit oriented, feature specific demonstrations and collateral that promote Bentley solutions for Offshore Structural Analysis and design.

Works with product development groups to continually improve the quality of the product based on user input.

Primary focus on Bentley Offshore Structural Analysis products (SACS, MOSES)

  

Requirements: 

Bachelor`s Degree in Civil Engineering or Naval Architecture or equivalent.

Master’s degree preferred.

5 or more years industry experience and domain expertise in offshore structural engineering consulting and design.   Candidates with additional Naval Architecture design experience will be given priority.

3-5 years software experience with SACS or MOSES.   Candidates with experience using SESAM or ANSYS Aqwa will be considered.

Ability to learn and effectively demonstrate the Bentley Software suite of software product line.

Detailed and a creative problem solver.

Willing to travel regionally up to 50 % of time is a MUST.

No Visa or travel restrictions.

Excellent written and verbal communication as well as strong presentation skills.

Customer facing skills including empathy and relationship building.
