Job Description

Assistant, Communications & Administration

In conjunction with the SVP, Customer Technology Services, this role will be responsible to develop, implement and maintain a clear communication strategy. Facilitate communications that aid in solutions adoption by the hotels, prepare quarterly hub communications/news, as well as day-to-day communication.  Provide administrative support and oversee general office functions.

What you will be doing:

  • Develop the departmental communications strategy; 
  • Implement the departmental communications strategy;
  • Provide coaching to other IT teams to enhance communications, documentations, and/or presentations; 
  • Act as the relay for global communications (between Central & region)
  • Act as the relay for hub-to-hotel and hub to hub communication
  • Create standards for communication practices (i.e. templates for documents and presentations).
  • Ensure internal and external communications adheres to hub and brand standards
  • Provide day to day administrative support to the Senior Vice President of CTS
  • General office communication and administration
  • Perform other duties as required

Your experience and skills include:

  • Undergraduate Degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in hotel industry is an asset
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills;
  • Good presentation skills;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Strong communication, organizational and planning skills and ability 
  • Good knowledge of technology tools 
  • Knowledge/understanding of Interfaces/Integration of various systems.
  • Positive attitude and commitment to excellence
  • Ability to work effectively with people in a high volume, high stress environment
  • Self-starter; displaying initiative; highly organized
  • Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Relationship building; influence skills

Your team and working environment:

  • Based at the North & Central America Regional Office in Toronto, Ontario, this position is part of the NCA Regional Technology team

Note: Must already be legally entitled to work in Canada to be considered for the position
