Communications

Hang Seng’s Communications function is dedicated to enhancing the Bank’s image by strengthening relationships with different stakeholders, including the media. We monitor public opinion of Hang Seng and help ensure important Bank messages are conveyed in a timely and effective manner. We promote the Bank’s products and services to the external audience on a proactive basis. We also safeguard Hang Seng’s strong brand and position as the leading domestic bank in Hong Kong by advising on reputational matters.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Assistant Communications Manager.

 

Principal responsibilities

  • Execute communications plans and projects to support business strategies and activities
  • Assist internal stakeholders in enhancing business profile and corporate image
  • Contribute to effective internal and external communications programmes
  • Draft and translate press releases and corporate communications materials
  • Arrange press conferences, interviews and other media activities
  • Monitor news coverage and compile news summary reports
  • Work closely with internal communications team to deliver consistent messages

 

Requirements

  • University degree in journalism, communications, translation or a related discipline
  • Five to eight years of experience in corporate communications or media relations
  • Creative and excellent writing skills
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua an advantage
  • Proficiency in PC applications, including Chinese word processing
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
