What you will be doing:  
Reporting to the Regional Director, Talent & Culture, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
  • Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
  • Assists the Regional Director, Talent & Culture with developing, coordinating, and executing the Talent & Culture strategy, as well as all Talent & Culture programs, events and initiatives
  • Responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operation of the Talent & Culture offices (including talent acquisition, benefits, health, wellness & safety, worker’s compensation, employee experience, and administration), as well as the performance and development of the Talent & Culture team members
  • Work with the Director, Learning & Development on meaningful and applicable learning programs for leaders and employees.
  • Promote Accor’s EVP and social platforms for Heartist Engagement and Aquisition
  • Support all volunteer committees (Heartist, Health & Safety, Social, Planet 21)
  • Oversees and advises on talent acquisition processes, programs and initiatives within the hotel (approximately 700 new hires annually with a  total of 1,000 positions filled), as well as supporting the orientation and onboarding process
  • Advises, guides and assists leaders (leadership team of 220+) with the interpretation and consistent application of Talent & Culture policies, procedures, programs, activities, decisions, as well as all legislative requirements
  • Manage all talent systems, and provide support and training to T&C and operational teams
  • Reviews and follows up on all employee discussion forms, colleague performance reviews and exit interviews
  • Addresses and handles colleague relation concerns, as well as facilitates escalated disciplinary meetings for an employee base of up to 1,400
  • Assists with Staff Housing concerns and initiatives as needed
  • Leads and supports the Employee Experience Manager in creating a family-feel social culture that focuses on wellness, outdoor mountain activities and event organization.
  • Plan hotel events with the support of the Employee Experience Manager and Social Committee
  • Coordinates the annual Employee Engagement Survey and works throughout the year with department leaders on meaningful action plans to drive engagement
  • Responsible for the financial management of the Talent & Culture budget including accurate monthly forecasting and annual budget development
  • Member of the senior leadership team and contributes to all Hotel initiatives, with a relentless focus on Employee Engagement
  • Other duties as assigned
 
Your experience and skills include:
  • Previous human resources or operational senior leadership experience, at least two years, within a similar establishment is required
  • Hotel experience is an asset
  • Computer literate and excellent skills with all Microsoft Window applications required
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • University/College degree or diploma in a related discipline is preferred
  • Previous experience with talent acquisition is preferred
  • Previous experience with HRIS/HR Manager systems, Taleo Recruiting, Time & Attendance Enterprise, and Ceridian InSync is an asset
  • CHRP designation or candidate working towards designation is an asset
  • Organized, energetic, innovative and passionate about Human Resources and hospitality
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to demonstrate tact and diplomacy in an environment of confidentiality with the ability to balance common sense, empathy and business acumen
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention on guests/employees/leaders’ needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

Visa Requirements:  Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
