Assist supervisor to monitor the claims teams so as to ensure the claims teams in HK and OSS effectively handle matters ranging from clerical support, claims processing, communication with different parties and service recovery which are in line with the Company and department goals and KPI.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for digital, TDA projects, Ascend 200, STP initiatives to enhance the system automation and develops sufficient validation rules in order to improve the operation efficiency and end to end claims processing within assigned timeline.  

  • Pro-active claims handling, including timely investigation on suspicious abuse claims, costs effective engagement of service providers, regular claims follow up, provide guidance and coaching to sub-ordinates on claims, insurance/ risk issues and performance.

  • Assess, handle and approve all life claims types and authorize claims payment within authority and refer claims exceeding authority to Senior Management with sound recommendations.

  • Analyse claims data, monitor claims trend and prepare reports.

  • Actively participates in team’s meeting, enhancement in workflow, claims system, UAT and projects.

  • Interfaces with related departments and relevant parties for life insurance projects.

  • Register and maintain as insurance agent of BEA Life with the regulatory authority, and where necessary, upon successful registration as insurance agent with the regulatory authority, advise on or arrange contracts of insurance or carry on regulated activity, would be of advantageous.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum of 6 to 8 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and related experience

  • Claims knowledge in life and group insurance company

  • Preferable to have achieved FLMI and ALHC

  • Proficient communications and problem solving skills

  • With leadership and team building skills

  • You are required to obtain relevant license if your job involves in regulated activities
