Job Description

An assistant vice president role has opened up in a leading international market in Hong Kong. This exciting role will mainly perform post-trade market surveillance and monitoring on trading activities. The candidate should have at least 7 years of relevant working experience in trade surveillance, legal or compliance in financial institution.

Our client is a global capital formation market and they are now hiring an assistant vice president to conduct real-time and post trade surveillance on trading activities. They are committed to attracting new listings from Hong Kong, Greater China and other important markets to raise funds.

Description

  • Responsible for performing real-time and post-trade surveillance on trading activities conducted on the markets
  • Investigate and take enforcement actions against beaches of SFO, SFC codes etc
  • Manage projects related to market surveillance / rule enforcement and assist in enhancement to surveillance system
  • Involve in development and maintenance of internal policies and procedures
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis, interpret data and trends, deliver insights and present observations and findings to report to management
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders such as internal departments, regulators and market participants

Profile

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance or relevant discipline
  • At least 7 years of working experience in trade surveillance, legal or compliance. Experience in project management from planning, testing to monitoring is preferred
  • Working knowledge in securities and derivatives markets such as law, rules and regulatory requirements. Exposure to securities and derivatives products is preferred
  • Experience in industry wide systems (e.g. Bloomberg, Reuters, SMARTS), MS applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Powerpoint) & programming and BI tools (e.g. VBA, Tableau) is preferred
  • Excellent analytical skills, report writing skills, communication and interpersonal skills as well as ability to multi-tasking and work under pressure
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese
