Provides leadership and strategy for a group of IT professionals responsible for managing the computer room operations at the North America Campus Compute locations. Contributes to the organization's vision, goals and strategies. Aligns department priorities appropriately, determines critical success factors, evaluates and pursues initiatives, and opportunities based on fit within the operation and other IT strategies. Drive and proactively communicate campus compute solution strategies throughout the enterprise, provide detailed analysis of service availability by location. Build relationships with Global AbbVie IT partners, aligning strategy and goals. Responsibilities: Responsible for Global Hosting Infrastructure covering 4 Enterprise Data Centers and 26 Campus Compute Facilities “CCF” locations covering capacity, lifecycle management, and solution delivery. Responsible for implementing refresh strategy for Datacenter and CCF locations and migrating from legacy to new infrastructure platforms covering Globally over 40 Petabytes of Compute Storage, 9 Petabytes of Backup Storage for an 12,000+ server environment covering VMWare, Windows, Linux, Unix and other platforms. Responsible for overseeing integration activities due to acquisitions or other company initiatives specifically for Data Centers, CCF locations, or sites. Responsible for planning for and driving adoption of new solutions developed and approved by Infrastructure Architecture and Engineering Leverage and Work with Managed Service Providers, Outside Vendors, other IAI and BTO organizations as needed Oversee $10MM+ Capital and Expense spend Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and Procedures Understands and contributes to organization's vision, goals and strategies. Aligns department priorities appropriately, determines critical success factors, evaluates and pursues initiatives and opportunities based on fit with strategies Ensure infrastructure availability, stability, identify and escalate issues Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
