Our team within Operations IT, the PT&D Capability, is working together with the Pharmaceutical Development & Technology business area to make sure they have the best IT solutions to support their business needs.

What you’ll do

As Business Analyst at AstraZeneca, you will get the chance to work in a truly global environment in collaboration with team members and partners from all over the world. The role partners with Business Relationship Managers and/or Business Analyst colleagues to support the development of business cases, do business process design, capture requirements and ensure that proposed solutions meet established AstraZeneca quality and compliance standards and business solution needs. You will be performing business analysis and design, either alone delivering small scale business change activities; or as a contributor, “lead and project BA” to a large scale or global business change.

Accountabilities:

  • Identification of business needs - define business need and areas for improvement. Proactively seek out opportunities to enhance and improve in line with strategic goals, propose solutions through research.
  • Business analysis planning – plan and lead activities to meet deliveries and deadlines.
  • Partner analysis and change – identify, build and partner with stakeholders, motivate change management and communicate plans for projects.
  • Requirements and design definition – identify functional and technical requirements, translation of these between IT and the business. Partnering with Architecture team, ensuring the technical solution will deliver the agreed business benefits.
  • Business case and benefits management – support the business case definition, collect business justification for investments including return on investment and benefits realization.

Key skills and experience

  • Previous BA experience with domain and/or IT knowledge
  • Structured person with confirmed project management skills
  • Experienced in using business tools/techniques to design and deliver business change
  • Proficient English with good presentation and influencing skills
  • Experience of working with third party suppliers/vendors
  • Previous experience of regulated/validated/GXP environment
  • Waterfall-Iterative hybrid project methodology, not only Agile

The role will be available in etiher Gothenburg or Macclesfield
