As a major international company we are proud of our investment in people and we are currently seeking apprentices to join us in August 2020 to join our Launch Control, Plant Projects and Change Coordination Department.

Your Career Development

This program will give you an in-depth introduction to the multiple launch and change steering systems, the planning and project management for the production of new Rolls-Royce Motor Cars products, as well as a Chartered Manager Degree from Unversity of Chichester Business School. So all in all, this opportunity gives you hands-on work experience with one of the most prestige automotive brands, plus a university degree qualification: the perfect combination.

 

Upon completion of the apprenticeship within the Launch Control, Plant Projects and Change Coordination Department, you will have acquired the necessary skills to:

• steer the plant introduction of launch and series engineering changes
• plan and steer new products and model impulse launches
• create and maintain the bill of material for in-house production
• ensure successful introduction of bespoke products and processes
• project manage project timeline development and milestone management
• provide problem solving support through systems and data analysis

Rate of Pay

A competitive salary starting at c.£13,650 pa which will increase annually up to c.£31,000 depending on individual progress and performance.

A company car scheme is available to those who are 18 years and over, plus other benefits including a pension scheme, generous holiday allowance, a subsidised on-site restaurant and discounts at various local businesses and restaurants.

Working Hours

40 hour working week. Apprentice start and finish times at Goodwood are 07:30 – 16:00 but may vary slightly according to work-based placements and study hours.

• A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at higher grade C or grade 5 (or above) including Maths and English.

• Plus a minimum of 3 A Levels (or equivalent) at grade C or above, or a BTEC Level 3 (60 credits or more) or equivalent in a relevant discipline.

Preferred qualifications:
• Good knowledge of MS Office tools (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
• Great communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as work as an excellent team player
• Ability to work in an environment where high quality is required

When it comes to selecting the right apprentices, it’s as much about attitude and behaviours as it is about vocational and academic success. That’s why in addition to the qualifications we require from you, we’ll also look for you to have a range of skills, attributes and competencies. These include: team working, as well being able to work without close supervision; quality focus; good communication skills; the ability to show enthusiasm and initiative; and to take responsibility and be accountable for your work.

As part of your application you will need to upload one of the following:
- a copy of your most recent school report* and a CV or
- a CV and an employer reference, or
- a CV and a personal statement

We cannot progress your application without either a school report, employer reference or personal statement.

*If you are currently studying you must upload a school/college report.


You must also be able to provide proof of your legal right to work in the UK, if you are not a UK or European passport holder.

Closing date for applications: 15 March 2020. The next stage of your application could include online testing and an assessment centre. Assessment centres will run on 30 April and 1 May 2020 at Goodwood.
