The Business Planning & Operations (BPO) team in Early Oncology consists of the main elements of strategic enabling support, including Chief of Staff, Portfolio and Capacity management, Business Planning & Performance management, and Communications.
The Portfolio and Capacity (P&C) team provide timely and fit for purpose analysis of the Oncology portfolio to enable more effective decision making to support optimal portfolio delivery.
The Portfolio Analyst is a member of the Portfolio and Capacity Team within Business Planning & Operations and is primarily responsible for data maintenance and analysis, contributing to the development of new analytical models to support portfolio & capacity management. The Portfolio Analyst will serve as the primary point of contact on all portfolio and capacity tools, training and processes.
Typical Accountabilities
Maintains data integrity & quality in portfolio demand and resource data to enable effective portfolio and capacity analytics, including (but not limited to) reconciliation of data across systems, actuals vs. planned, FTE tracking, etc.
Supports analysis of portfolio demand, resource capacity, and other areas of need within business performance management
Designs and maintains data models and visualization methods to provide effective modelling and reporting which enables robust capacity balancing discussions and decisions
Actively contributes to the identification and implementation of process simplification opportunities
Establishes effective partnerships with key stakeholders, both within and outside of Early Oncology
Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Essential
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in relevant subject area
Analytical and data management expertise.
Highly numerate, supported by strong computing skills.
Ability to assimilate complex information and identify key issues and messages
Experience of working effectively in global teams in an international environment
Experience of communicating complex information in both verbal and written form
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
Self-starter requiring little oversight or prioritization support
Strong customer focus
Desirable
Knowledge of portfolio management processes
Business Strategy and Portfolio operational experience
Degree or equivalent experience in business and or scientific subject area.
Exposure to or experience of Portfolio management, analytics and modelling in a drug development environment.
Demonstrated experience of Portfolio management and analytics tools, including PlanIt, Capaciter, Assigner, Spotfire
