Job Description

Department: Inflight Service Delivery
Reports to: Head of Employee Relations and Communications - Inflight Service

This position is dedicated to the engagement and communication with our Cabin Crew.

As a critical and mobile workforce, the information needs of our Cabin Crew are specific and important for their ability to perform every day. Effective crafting of the right message to Cabin Crew community and building of Cabin Crew engagement is also of strategic importance to support high performance culture as well as to supplement industrial relation (IR) effort.

This role is responsible for the development of channels, messages and ways to engage our Cabin Crew. Specifically, he/she will oversee the release of operational communications as well as identifying ways to engage Cabin Crew with our strategy and keep his/her finger on the pulse of Cabin Crew sentiment and issues. This is a critical role that requires strong empathy and understanding of Cabin Crew needs. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and create departmental communications aligned with strategic direction
  • Engage Cabin Crew across channels continuously using different platforms and channels
  • Facilitate effective two way communications between management and Cabin Crew
  • Engage in Cabin Crew Consultative Group
  • Publish operational communications to ensure compliance to relevant regulations
  • Monitor sentiment of Cabin Crew across all channels
  • Ensure effective use of Yammer platform as an ISD Champion
  • Tackle and resolve problems and future state in a creative manner
  • Coordinate with Corporate Affairs and other departments to ensure aligned approach and timing of delivering key messages and initiatives

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Communication, Marketing or related fields
  • 6+ years in internal/external Communication-related roles, preferably in a large multinational organisation
  • Experience managing internal communications strategies and initiatives
  • Strong influencing skills, multimedia knowledge and strategic aglility
  • Ability to adapt messages that really work with crew
  • Good communication, influencing and interpersonal skills to network effectively
  • Excellent writing skills and the ability to position communications to achieve objective
  • Capacity to leverage different communication platforms
  • Drivers of change and collaborative in approach
