Job Description

As the team manager, the right candidate will play a vital role in the investment operations team which is responsible for the daily cash management processes.

Client Details

My client is a multi-national Asset Manager with strong backing from a large well branded international Insurance business. They have a diverse group of companies and affiliates globally. With more than 100 years' experience and offices in North America, Asia and Europe they are one of the market leaders in their space.

Description

  • Support various products including mutual funds, pension and institutional account products with cash management
  • Support and build good relationships with portfolio management teams covering fixed income, equities, asset allocation and multi asset products.
  • Maintaining book of accounts for pension, mutual, insurance funds, unit trust product and reconciles records for portfolio holdings and cash positions. Liaise with different counter parties to resolve any issues.
  • Aid with new fund launches and coordinate with internal teams as well as external service providers.
  • Liaise with various parties including external fund managers, prime brokers, auditors, custodians, fund administrators
  • Maintain documentation of operations policy and procedure
  • Support the implementation of enhancements to systems and processes including drafting business requirements, designing test plans and conducting user acceptance Test when required.
  • Work to deliver ad-hoc projects which arise timely and concisely

Profile

  • Degree in accounting, Finance or related subject
  • Professional accounting qualification is an advantage.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in Fund operations or Fund administration.
  • Knowledgeable in various fund types including unit trust, mutual fund, Pension and Fund of funds.
  • Knowledgeable in various financial instruments, ideally in equity, fixed income, currency forwards and futures.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, excellent in MS Excel. VBA knowledge is preferred.
  • Public Holiday Support and morning shift of work is required.
  • Able to take initiative and work independently as well as in a team.
