About the GMP team

GMP team is a part of Global Cloud Services (GCS) organization and the Platform and Services (PSO) department. GMP team is responsible for operations and management of SAP internal GMP IaaS platform, which runs PaaS/SaaS solutions from various Cloud LoBs (line of businesses). GMP is the largest and the most critical productive IaaS platforms in different SAP DCs world-wide. The most critical goal for GMP team is to safeguard GMP IaaS platform to have zero-outages and minimum of MTTRs.

The Role

As a Cloud IAAS Security IT Technology consultant of the GMP IaaS platform you are responsible for evaluation and mitigation of IaaS and PaaS security risks and findings. You support constant security reviews, definition of mitigations, automation and rollouts of security fixes and complete security lifecycle within GMP infrastructure area.  Meeting the SLAs targets from security departments vertically (compute-> storage-> network), driving implementation, quality improvement and optimization of the security processes and execution.  You should be able to work across functional units (network, backup, compute, storage) and other organization units (architecture, design and engineering) to drive values to Cloud LoBs and external customers. You must be able to discuss, negotiate and come up the best solutions for the interest of SAP.

Role Requirements

• Knowhow within IT security operations and Cyber Security, Linux OS administration, SuSE Linux Enterprise and Xen knowhow are of advantage
• Configuration management automation knowhow (Chef, Puppet, Ansible), and ITIL structure/processes knowhow
• IT hardware/infrastructure understanding and experience in OS, Compute, Network, Storage, Backup
• Experience with Cloud IAAS and PAAS offerings, experience with NIS Directive (see EU 2016/1148) is an advantage
• Strong project management skills, strong orientation towards results, excellent communication (fluent in English), German skills are of advantage
• 3+ years of experience as a Security Officer or Security Expert within IT infrastructure environment, with experience in project management across international teams
• 3+ years of diverse working experience in IT infrastructure and IT security operations (hypervisor, network, storage, security scans, monitoring, audits).
