Job Description
  • Provides technical training for employees within the Spine Asia Pacific sales force
  • Provides soft skills (Selling, Coaching, Facilitation etc.) training for One MD employees
  • Develops, maintains and enhances training materials that meet Compliance & Regulatory requirements (Copy Approval) and GES standards
  • Designs, delivers and evaluates instructor-led courses
  • Designs, delivers and evaluates distance learning tools such as computer-based training modules
  • Facilitates skills-based practical workshops for participants to ensure understanding of operative procedures and responsiveness to surgeon needs
  • Designs, plans and conducts laboratory exercises, including cadaver labs
  • Continuously revises and updates training materials and content for the benefit of the learner to reflect new techniques, new products and new training technology as well as changes in the market
  • Assesses strengths and weaknesses of trainees via participant evaluations and provide feedback to their managers using a structured evaluation report
  • Adapts courses as needed to meet the needs of international participants
  • Identifies training resources and logistics (e.g., equipment, room size, number of participants)
  • Organises training resources, location and equipment for training sessions
  • Provides and utilises metrics to measure and improve course content & delivery
  • Monitors and anticipates equipment needs
  • Manages procurement of new training equipment for assigned portfolio(s)
  • Prepare and manage course budgets
  • Manage contracts for the engagement of HCPs to run assigned surgeon-led sales training
  • Provides course support to AO courses and Professional educational events when necessary
  • Provides technical/training support to Regional Marketing team for meetings or training events when necessary
  • Provides relevant technical training for employees in parts of the organization other than sales, including Product Development, manufacturing and corporate
  • Liaises with Marketing and Product Managers to facilitate training for new products in advance of market release
  • Negotiates with Country Leads and staff on training needs and resources
  • Maintains regular communication with product development team and Marketing to share information and address issues
  • Demonstrates a high level of technical, product and clinical knowledge
  • Maintains and enhance technical and market knowledge through regular field visits, attendance at related courses and self-study
  • Knows and follows all laws and policies that apply to one's job, and maintain the highest levels of professionalism, ethics and compliance at all times
  • Assists peers with training facilitation as required
  • Maintains regular communication with GES Commercial Education team to align content, delivery and strategy
  • Partners with Commercial Education teams to execute GES governance projects & initiatives
  • Partners with Marketing and GES to drive successful new product launches in AP
  • Other training duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelors’ Degree
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Sales or Marketing in Spine business
  • Clinical expertise and/or knowledge of Depuy Synthes Spine products is a must
  • Possesses deep technical knowledge and sharp business acumen
  • Highly motivated self-starter with the commitment to lead and see a project to completion
  • Able to travel up to 30% of time to conduct technical trainings in other countries within Asia Pacific region
  • Effective oral and written communication and presentation skills in English is a must
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Creative, proactive and energetic
  • High attention to details
  • Able & willing to learn new concepts, products and technology within assigned time frame
  • Able & willing to use digital and technology solutions
  • Able to embrace and promote the adoption of technology in education
  • Able & willing to independently manage projects and deadlines
  • Experience developing and facilitating adult training and knowledge of adult learning principles preferred
  • Able to lift 30 pounds
