As Commercial Policy & Pricing Officer you will be responsible for maintaining pricing and pricing strategy and its implementation by the sales districts/BU initiating corrective action where required. The role acts as a linking pin between Business Marketing Management, Finance and Operations providing insights and analytics driving consistent, correct and aligned pricing strategy and associated pricing, T&C and costing.

Additionally, there is a requirement to work across parties in the Africa Market team to further strengthen our Africa Footprint and Go 2 Market strategy. Together with the HS Sales Teams, BSMs and Finance work on Pricing Strategies, Business Case scenarios, strategic Channel Partnership, Portfolio Management, the Pricing Officer will be a play a key role in delivering on the market Africa’s growth and profitability ambition.

You are responsible for

  • Ensures CTP’s are set and aligned with designated channel standard T&C for products and services in alignment with commercial policy and where to play standards.

  • Review the pricing strategy implementation and adherence by the countries and initiates corrective actions, be formalized in a Price Council Framework.

  • Advanced Analytics on OIT IGM%, PRI, Portfolio Management and Strategic Growth Scenarios.

  • Analyses the price and margin realization at deal, country, product and BIU level acting as an advisor towards sales and business market management on improved pricing, T&C and towards operations on improved costing both aiming to improve profitability.

  • Generates insightful analytics and reporting on pricing, price realization and win-loss.

  • Supports Large deals and projects with a project specific pricing strategy.

  • Manage pricing (price levels and pricing models) around the NPI for products and service creation.

  • Develop / translate Regional/BG marketing strategy into pricing strategy and consequent policies for the different BMCs.

  • Analyses the portfolio performance against targets and supports the BMCs in making corrective actions.

  • Align pricing and segmentation strategy with the Health Systems Commercial and Marketing team.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Advanced Degree in Marketing, Business Administration/Finance or Economics .

  • Extensive experience in Marketing, Product Management, Pricing, Field Marketing or other related commercial function .

  • Financial and business analysis skills .

  • Demonstrated ability to influence and drive change in a matrix organization.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English .

  • Closely aligns with Business Marketing, Operations and Finance

  • Strategic thinking and experience modeling and analyzing data .

  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize fact based insights into concrete, actionable recommendations.

  • Continuously drives optimization of catalogue.
