Job purpose:

This role will lead the Communications and Change Management workstream of a global transformation programme reporting to the Programme Director. The programme has an impact across SDL’s global footprint operating in x countries.

This is an ongoing multi year programme transforming and automating end to end processes. Communications are a key component of the delivery process to ensure stakeholders across the organisation are effectively informed in an accurate and timely manner.

Managing and embedding change is key to achieving the desired goals of the programme. This role will co-ordinate and drive key change enabling actions and work with senior sponsors and employees within SDL driving adoption of the new ways of working to ensure the desired outcomes of the programme are achieved.


Key responsibilities:

* Communications
o Creation and management of overall communications plan
o Writing communications for a variety of audiences, providing back-up support to include, but not limited to:
* External and internal e-mails
* SharePoint content
* User guides
* Training materials
* Assistance with internal customer e-mail inboxes
o Delivering external communications effectively alongside external marketing team
o Knowledge and information gathering via development team and business representatives in order to remain aware of all new system information to include in communciations
o Preparation of Change Community session materials
o Organising communications on behalf of senior executives within the Transformation Department
o Proactively measuring delivery of communications with responsibility for implementing remedial actions as necessary
* Change
o Creation and management of the overall change management plan
o To assist with release planning and preparation from a business impact perspective;
* Monitoring risks and issues
* Understanding training requirements and assisting with the development of training where applicable
o Management of the Change Community
* Stakeholder mapping, production of matrices (heat maps)
* Engagement with stakeholder teams
* Facilitating workshops, monthly updates and feedback sessions
* Production and co-ordination of engagement surveys
* Preparation of metrics; user engagement and adoption


Skills, Experience and Knowledge:
Essential
* Excellent communication skills with a high standard of written English
* Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects concurrently
* Able to build strong working relationships internally and externally at all levels
* Ability to thrive in a busy and demanding environment, working well under pressure to meet tight deadlines
* Adaptable to changing requirements with a high degree of flexibility
* Detail-oriented and able to cross-check and ensure accuracy of detailed documents
* Team player; able to work collaboratively with others, yet able to work with minimal supervision
* Passionate about improving employee engagement and awareness
* Resourceful and imaginative with a keenness to introduce new ideas
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Desirable
* Knowledge of SharePoint, Jira and Confluence
* Understanding of agile methodology
* Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
* Change Management or Project management qualification
