As a key component of the MOE-UNICEF 2016-2020 Child Friendly School Programme, the Social and Emotional Programme aims at improving the whole school climate through an integrated approach, centering on trainings on principals, to ensure that children feel safe, respected, confident and happy in schools; that they can acquire knowledge and skills to recognise and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, demonstrate care and concern for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, make responsible decisions, and handle interpersonal situations effectively. To compensate the school-based approach, 30 key messages for parents were developed by international experts and translated into Chinese, which are expected to be disseminated widely through UNICEF We Chat account.

How can you make a difference?

The Education and Child Development Section of UNICEF China is now seeking a professional We Chat content editor(illustrator) to polish and visualize these 30 key messages (around 64,000 words) with illustrations to make them attractive to parents, especially the parents with children in primary schools.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • University degree in Education, Psychology, Journalism, Communication, Language, or other relevant discipline
  • Minimum two years of professional work experience in social media and/or content marketing
  • Experience in planning and creation of audience-focused content
  • Good communication and time management skills
  • Fluency in Chinese and English
